Quiet Time with Cally

Cally doesn't nap (she hasn't since she turned one), but she does enjoy quiet time (well, that is a lie, I enjoy quiet time Cally just has to be quiet...). Cally spent her quiet time bringing out her friends to relax alongside of.

Snow Days!!

Cally might be an introvert...

I asked Cally who she played with at recess and she told me a long story about bringing the ball back to a couple of friends. Being a mom, I of course asked a million more questions, starting with why she didn't play ball with them. Cally patiently explained to me that she just wanted to play by herself. She said a few friends asked her to play but she said no because she wanted to be alone. She went on to say that she just wants to be alone ALL the time. I guess Cally is her own best company! :)

Operation: Spring Butterfly Capture

Addy has been day dreaming about the beauty of spring. She is most excited about the return of butterflies to her meadow (otherwise known as the empty lot next to our house). Addy came home from school with this sign she plans to hang up outside (I think on a tree?). She says it will help her trick the butterflies so she can catch more.
Cally's spring mission is to catch a baby bunny. She asked if she could have a bunny and I said, 'sure, but you have to catch it yourself'. Needless to say Cally is very excited to get a bunny. She even told her speech therapist all about her bunny. This spring promises to be interesting, I guess! :)

Addy's favorite game

We bought a couple of new 'educational' games for the girls. Addy and Cally both love theirs. Addy's is called Pixie Cubes and keeps her pretty happy. Cally's is a combination of the old card game speed and bingo. It is a lot of fun for us all.

While Addy was writing out her valentines for school she noticed her name was listed fully rather than by her commonly used nickname. I jokingly told Addy that her buddy Adriana was going to end up with twice as many valentines as Addy unless she made sure to label her Valentine box with her full name. So, Addy thought about it for a second and then made what she decided was adequate notation. I love it! :)

Addy has wanted a fluffy kitten she could hold since she could ask for one. She is one lucky girl. :)

Cally Bear heals sick baby horse

Cally spent her get-ready-for-school time caring for her baby horse. The poor little guy had a tummy ache. As soon as she got home from preschool she once again resumed her care. It seems Baby is now cured!
