Here is this month's memorable moments and funny kid proclamations.
Addy and Cally were playing and Addy was wearing the stethoscope. Addy asked Cally, "Cally do you want to be a veterinarian? Veterinarian is Spanish for Vet."
I walked in to the kitchen to find Cally fake sleeping, snores included, on the kitchen floor all in an attempt to make me laugh.
We were showing Cally the snow, and Addy said, Cally thinks the snow is alien poop. I am sure that was exactly what Cally was thinking!
Addy has been plotting a play date with 5 of her closest girlfriends from preschool. Every day she plans what activities and snacks they will do and eat. Every day I envision 6 four and five year olds running crazily through my house being chased by Cally and the cats. Addy has even started writing the invitations. Addy asked David how to spell play date and has been quietly writing out the invitations since then. Boy am I excited! ;)
Cally and Addy are much more into dress up than ever before. Addy will dress up as Queen Addy, Cally gets to be Princess Cally, but their favorite dress up outfit is the equestrian costume I picked up off the clearance rack. Because this is the holiday season and we have been doing a lot of Christmas and religious instruction Addy has taken up dressing as Mary, Jesus' mommy. I have to admit, it feels a little sacrilegious to send Mary to time out!

Fish-tastic!
Or not?!
Addy is over the moon because Santa brought her a fish aquarium (although she had asked him for a snail hotel. The look on Santa's face was pretty funny when he heard her request...). Both Cally and Chloe are super excited about the new addition to our household. We have had some minor set backs (all the fish died within hours of inhabiting their new home sweet home) but I have a feeling that we will get everything settled!

Portraits by Addy
Cally loves to have her photo taken, well unless she has decided the camera is as she puts it, "MINE!"

Addy is forever taking pictures. I think this is the first time I have seen any self-portraits though. I have to say, I love Addy's sense of humor.

Here, Addy is trying to get a picture of herself and her beloved pretend (a very important distinction to Addy) pet, Chloe.

Here is a picture of Addy and Chloe that I took. So sweet!

Snow play!!
Our weather was fabulous a day or so ago! In fact, you might even say it was tropical!

My girls were determined to show Santa how angelic they are!

Cally might need a refresher course in snow angel making, but I love how she just plops down and copies every move Addy makes. :)

Such a big girl!

Addy and her newest friend!

Welcoming our newest family member!!!
The girls and I were so lucky to be able to head up to the frozen Northland and visit our newest family member! The weather and road conditions cooperated so that we were able to enjoy a relaxing 5.5 hour drive. ;)
Little Cally is so busted if the bouncy chair is broken!

Cally and Oliver getting down! I love this picture, so sweet!

Little baby girl was an absolute dream! She has the sweetest disposition and is already letting her mommy get some sleep at night. I hope Cally took careful notes!

Oliver and the girls had the best time playing farm together. I was really happy to see all the older kids play so well. Laughter and running were common themes this weekend! However, there was a little bit of shut eye for the farmers...

Preschool program!!
Addy's preschool program was an absolute dream! It was amazing to watch the little pre-k'ers sing all the songs themselves. They brought they audience to their feet with the 12 days of Christmas. Each day had a motion and the kids were frantic to get them all right. Cally had a great time watching the program too! She clapped her little hands the entire time.
After the program there was a cookie and punch reception time. Santa Clause was there as well but the focus was on celebrating Jesus' birthday. There were game stations where the kids received really cute favors like they would at a birthday party. The night was a resounding success!

First...
David and I gave the girls their first 'real' necklaces last week. I had originally thought to give the girls the necklaces for Christmas but I thought the necklaces would be more special given before Addy's preschool Christmas program.
Both girls were thrilled to see what their big surprise was!

Addy is quite the little model.

Cally too!

Group shot of my loves!

In case you are curious, I ordered the necklaces through this website, http://www.etsy.com/shop/cloverpatchdesigns.

Favorite activities!
Cally's favorite activity lately has been stacking things. She will stack anything. Oh and she loves the mega blocks, much time is spent building towers for my birthday.

Addy's favorite activity (besides doing 'homework'!) is cutting anything up to make it into an animal. In this picture, she has cut up the upstairs bathroom wallpaper (we are re-doing that room now) and refashioned it into eagles for her and Cally. But other times, she makes lizards and turtles out of any sort of scrap.

We were able to enjoy a near by children's museum for free this past Sunday. David's work offered an employee afternoon and we were thrilled to explore a new children's museum. Truthfully, we have never been to this one because everyone always says how our usual children museum is better. I was pleasantly surprised and David was surprised by how much nicer our usual children's museum is! I guess everything is relative!
A hungry hungry hippo slide.

Addy and Cally loved how colorful this ride was!

A piano light wall, a very popular attraction for the girls (and David!).

I think this was a kangaroo slide, Cally loved it!

Addy enjoyed rowing her boat. Usually we play this on the couch with imaginary oars.

They had a cool light show with great Christmas music and even snow! Addy was a little bummed to realize it was just paper snow though!

Both girls rode the carousel twice. David and I took turns with the girls, it is such a fast and small carousel that David and I were both a little dizzy.

The best part of the museum for Cally and Addy was the bbq pit. It was pretty cool!
