Roaring River!
We made a few different trips to our favorite Roaring River. The girls loved the river as much as my sisters and I did in our childhood. Addy waded the river and tried her hand at fishing. We all picked blackberries, tossed rocks in the river and built castles with family. There was a hot dog roast, 'dipper bird' sighting, and many more happy memories to add to the rest.

This wasn't at the river, but it was too cute to not include. This is a picture of the girls and my cousin Davey's two girls and his wife Cheryl. Addy and Mackenzie made great playmates and had a fantastic time together. :)

Away in Oregon!
Cally was fascinated by this hub cap on a post. Shiny and noisy = perfect toddler distraction. ;)

Addy loved being able to have a blackberry snack anytime she wanted! Well, I think we all enjoyed that!

Another favorite past time for Addy, picking up feathers and making us into a family of birds. Addy flew pretty much everywhere and asked to be called Addy bird. We were all blue jays in case you were wondering...

Cally spent a lot of time falling on our trip. Sadly she had the bruises and scratches to prove it! This time, the fall was ok because she was able to hold onto her blackberry!

Strike!
We went bowling this past week and it went pretty well. It went great after we had the bumpers put up, especially for me! ;)
Here is Cally ready to put on her bowling shoes. Cally loves to join in the fun, no matter what we are doing, but she is a champion shoe-take-er-off-er!

Addy is so big!

Launching Addy's ball!

I bowled a 162 with the bumpers, I did not even break 100 during our bumper-less game. Shame on me! ;)

Addy's first professional gig!
Addy took over photographer duties from me at Aunt Michelle's wedding. Lucky for Aunt Michelle she also hired a professional photographer husband and wife team to photograph her lovely wedding. While we patiently wait for those pictures, I thought I would share Addy's.
Maybe all photographers have a love/hate relationship with light? Good thing Addy is not charging for her work yet!

The bride and groom!

This disruptive crew had to sit where their mom and aunt could closely monitor their behavior! ;)

Oops, I think a Cally Bear was trying to sneak into this picture!

My favorite, but I might be partial because I took this one. :)

Duel!
We were honored to be a part of the celebration for Aunt Michelle and Uncle Ron's wedding (welcome to the family Ron!). Part of that celebration was the rehearsal dinner before those two crazy kids took the big plunge (in their case literally!).
It was at that dinner that Cally was challenged to her first eating duel. Shelby issued the challenge and while Shelby is almost two months older than Cally, I figured it was a pretty fair match.

Cally promptly took her place and started chowing down. Cally chose a french fry to cut her teeth on while Shelby went a little more traditional toddler route and stuck with a crayon.

The two cousins were neck and neck for a good while, I was beginning to wonder if there would ever be a winner....

Even Shelby thought the challenge was lasting a little too long!

At L-O-N-G last Cally claimed victory! Or maybe she was just waving hi to an old friend either way, Cally's first food duel came to an end! ;)
